Using Norton Genie AI-powered assistant to detect deepfakes

Using Norton Genie AI-powered assistant to detect deepfakes

Today, many users are vulnerable to threats that leverage AI. These include sophisticated deepfakes, which can be used to spread misinformation. Deepfake scams can also generate fake but realistic audio or video to trick and deceive users into giving up money or personal data.
The Norton Genie AI-powered assistant* in your Norton device security app can help you identify deepfake scams on YouTube videos in English, which may lead to financial fraud, identity theft, and misinformation. To check if a YouTube video contains a deepfake scam, copy and paste the YouTube link into Norton Genie, and it will help determine if it appears to be a deepfake scam and provide you with a summary.
Norton Genie can also answer scam-related questions you might have, provide tips on what to do next, and address follow-up questions you may have. It can tell you if it could be a scam before you get scammed. Norton Genie is powered by advanced AI, so the more you use it, the smarter it gets at detecting new scams as cybercriminals keep finding new ways to trick you.
